Mr. Israr Mohammad Khan , Director General, NCRD

Mr. Israr Mohammad Khan has been appointed as Director General on 13th April, 2018. He is a graduate from the School of International and Public Affairs, Columbia University, New York, USA. Earlier he did Masters in Public Administration from Gomal University, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and thereafter joined NCRD on 15th September, 2001 as Assistant Director. He has extensively travelled abroad, and represented Pakistan on various events pertaining to field of good governance, poverty alleviation, rural development etc in various countries such as Bangladesh, Fiji Islands, Japan, Jordon, Malaysia, Morocco, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey and USA. He has reinvigorated role of the Centre in up-scaling and expanding the capacity building programmes for poverty alleviation and uplifting of rural masses.

NCRD has now an extensive outreach and better coordination with international organisations as well as other departments primarily engaged in rural development and poverty alleviation. The Centre is all set to embark upon extensively ambitious capacity building programmes in years to come under his leadership.
